LeBron James Praises Zion Williamson’s NBA Future

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been accused of tampering more times than we can count. The King isn’t shy to go out of his way to praise some notable basketball talents.
Last weekend, Virginia hosted Duke in a huge basketball matchup featuring two of the nation’s top teams. LeBron James flew down to Charlottesville with Rajon Rondo for the game to see how good these Duke prospects really are. It is safe to say he wasn’t left disappointed.
One player definitely got LeBron’s attention: Zion Williamson. The 18-year-old sensation is expected to be taken with the first pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Tanking teams like the New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns surely have their eyes set on him.
While the Lakers aren’t in contention to draft him, LeBron’s Klutch Sports agency may be targeting Williamson as its next marquee player.
James took some time to explain why he was at the Duke game. Per ESPN:
“It was a game between the [top] teams in the country,” James told ESPN of his decision to jet down from Philadelphia the day before the Lakers played the 76ers. “Coach K [Mike Krzyzewski] is my guy. And the flight was 35 minutes. So, it was easy. It was easy to be able to do it. It was my first time seeing Duke play, I think, in my life. I want to go to Cameron [Indoor Stadium] someday, too, though.”

Williamson had another impressive performance in Duke’s historic comeback victory in Louisville earlier in the week.
