2019 NBA All-Star weekend came to an end on Sunday, Feb. 17 after ‘Team LeBron’ defeated ‘Team Giannis’ 178-164 in the All-Star Game.
Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant was named Most Valuable Player for the second time in his career after finishing with 31 points on 10-of-15 shooting for ‘Team LeBron.’ Milwaukee Bucks forward and captain Giannis Antetokounmpo led his team with a game-best 38 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists.

Numerous other players put on a show for ‘Team LeBron,’ including 20 points from Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson, 19 points from both Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Toronto Raptors Kawhi Leonard, and 18 points from Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard. For ‘Team Giannis,’ Oklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George scored 20 points, Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton added 20, and Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook had 17. For legends Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki, Wade scored seven points for ‘Team LeBron’ and Nowitzki had nine points for ‘Team Giannis.’
Fans, former players, and current players had a blast with the All-Star Game and reacted on social media to everything that went on during it, including J. Cole’s halftime performance.
